The practice from day one has always utilized and outsourced specialized accounting services to Chuck McGaughey of Switzer McGaughey & Company, a regional accounting firm with extensive experience in healthcare consulting, healthcare accounting, and financial control of medical practices. Switzer McGaughey & Company has extensive experience in this area and works with numerous medical practices in this region. In addition, the accountants provide payroll services, check writing services, and in addition functions as a financial controller in many capacities for the practice. This has provided additional time for the CEO and administrative staff to concentrate on core issues of the practice.
The practice routinely uses several national healthcare consultants such as Coker, CHM Consultant Services, and Doctors Management Company to consult and recommend various solutions to improve revenue, control overhead, and ultimately provide improved patient care. These consultants have made various recommendations inline with current local, state, and federal regulations, and have recommended such solutions as improved in-house ancillary services such as neuroimaging, neuroelectro diagnostics, fluoroscopy, injective therapies, behavior health, pain/addiction consultation services, teleradiology, telemedicine, staff training, CME, in-house medical legal counsel, human resource management, financial planning, staff retention, benefit programs, and in addition has resulted in four certified practice administrative certificates being issued to four separate managers and administrators.
The practice has also utilized the consulting services of a regional group Pinnacle Planning. This firm has constantly provided expertise in reviewing, researching, and implementing cost effective strategies to continue to provide the best solutions for human resource issues, insurance, benefits, retirement, disability, financial planning for our staff, physicians, and practice.
These solutions along with quality medical care have helped the practice to bring multispecialty neuroscience care to the poor and rural areas without access to this type of specialized care, diagnosis, and treatment.
