Responsible for all legal and administrative matters arising from the Company’s nurse practitioner, physician house calls, home health and hospice businesses in fifteen states.

Responsibilities included:

·         Organizing and qualifying operating units

·         Obtaining and maintaining all federal, state and local licensure

·         Negotiation of operations contracts

·         Human Relations/labor matters, including oversight of three person HR department

·         Management of all legal proceedings

·         Management of all Medicare/Medicaid matters

·         Negotiations and document preparation for acquisitions and joint ventures

 

Responsibilities also included serving as company’s Compliance Officer, with oversight of a six person department.  Significant developments included improved auditing guidelines for patient notes, designed new education tools for practitioners and designed internet education program.

Community Service:

·         Chairman, Rockcastle County Development Board (1986 – 2002); developed a ten year county strategic plan and county leadership training program patterned after Leadership Kentucky, now in its third year

·         Chairman, Rockcastle County School District Strategic Planning Committee; developed a seven year strategic consolidation and building plan for school district

·         Everett C. Brown Award for community leadership

·         2005- Full time employment with Physician Services dba: Spine & Brain Neurosurgical Center, dba: Open/Stand-Up MRI. In House Counsel, Chief Compliance Officer, Administration.
